HARE'S DIRECTION TO RUN SITE:

From Selangor Club Bkt Kiara Annexe , drive straight on along Jalan Bukit Kiara , passing Science Centre on your right. Keep to extreme left lane and DO NOT GO UP THE RAMP. After passing SMJK Sri Hartamas on your left, turn left at the traffic light into Jalan 19/70A. Drive along the road passing “KIARA HILLS’ and “VIVALDI “ condos on your left. At the traffic light, turn left into Jalan Desa Kiara and you will see a sign that says “KIARAMAS” in front of you. Drive up the hill and you can park your car along the road near the KIARAMAS SALES OFFICE or drive into Jalan Desa Kiara 1 ,which is the  2nd road on your right.

      

ON ON:

1) The ON ON place and directions will be given at the Circle. This is a new restaurant which we are trying for our ON ON. However there are some matters we like to bring to your attention and seek your cooperation. 

           

2) As the restaurant sells liquor and other soft drinks, please DO NOT BRING ANY LIQUOR INCLUDING BEER, 100 PLUS  AND WATER FROM THE CIRCLE TO THE RESTAURANT as corkage will be charged if these are brought there. We have arranged for water to be served at the restaurant. The Hares will also be providing 2 bottles of whisky. If you wish to consume any other drink, it will be on your own account.

3) We have ordered buffet dinner.The restaurant owner assures us that there would be enough food for everybody.

However he has a rather unique way of calculating and charging for the buffet which is on per person basis . HE COUNTS THE NUMBER OF PLATES USED AND HE CONSIDERS EACH PLATE USED AS 1 PERSON EATING THE BUFFET.  THEREFORE PLEASE USE ONLY ONE PLATE FOR THE DINNER.

4) The restaurant will only be available to us from 9 pm onwards.

Take either MRR2 or Batu Cave Road towards Genting Highland/Karak Highway Toll. 

Approximately 100-150 meter before the tolls turn left for  UIAM/Kampong Pusu and

drive straight towards the traffic light and set trip meter to zero. Turn right at 1^st traffic

light and then straight pass UIAM main gate 2^nd traffic light and drive around the edge of

After Genting’s TUNNEL / TEROWONG (Petrol Kiosk / MacDonald’s), lookout for left turn Blue signage, KG BUKIT TINGGI / JANDA BAIK together with Brown signage below, SELESA HILL HOMES, and a humongous RLCH Signboard. (If you see Berjaya Hills, you have gone too far. Handle it. On On!).

BEHIND THE ZOO 
Directions:
a) Find your way to middle ring road (MRR2) and head towards Taman Melawati
then Zoo Negara
b) If coming from southeast, Ampang area, follow Duke Highway indications 
below.
c) If coming from northwest, Kepong, Batu Caves , jln Kuching, head towards Taman Melawati and then Zoo Negara.
d) If taking the Duke Highway (advisable for most coming from Bangsar) - go all the way towards Ampang. Take Exit 3308 A to the left towards Ulu Kelang, Taman Melawati, Kuantan. Set trip meter to zero as you enter MRR2.
e) At 3.7km bear left on ramp to Taman Permata and make U-turn below ramp. Drive for about 300m and Zoo Negara is on left.
f) At Zoo Negara set trip meter to zero. Drive on Jln Taman Zooview (take it easy, can be a bit slow with zoo visitors trying to find parking) and after 900m turn left onto Jalan 1 and go over bridge. After 180m turn left into Jalan 3. Drive for 90m turn right into Jalan 5. Drive for 400m and Jln 5 will merge into Jalan L5. Drive 450m along Jalan L5 and turn right into unnamed road. Drive for another 500m on new road and park on edge of road leaving enough room for trucks.

Alternative (for those who can't read the above and those who don't want to go through the Zoo parking crawl )
- Head towards Taman Melawati (close to Zoo Negara)
- Zero trip meter at traffic lights at Taman Melawati junction underpass 
- Take the turn into Taman Melawati, that is going left if coming from the direction of Bt Caves, and going right if coming from Ampang
- 0.1 km, this is the first traffic light 
- Pass through this traffic light and notice BHP on your left and schools on your right.
- 0.8km turn right at traffic light
- 1.0km turn right at T junction
- 1.5km turn left at T junction
- 1.7km turn right and follow Jalan J8
- 2.4km turn left (note small mosque on your right)
- 2.9km turn right to Jalan Tiara Kemensah 3, Follow this road until see Hash cars. Park on edge of road leaving enough room for trucks.

The run on Tuesday 12 March will be at Pantai Hill Park (also

known pretentiously as Bangsar Selatan). The on-on-on will be at

Restaurant Jia Wei near our house, off Jalan Klang Lama (JKL).

When you are along JKL, turn off at Jalan Sepadu (between Jalan Kuchai

Lama & OUG). Go to the end and at the junction, filter left.

After 500 metres, you will see the green Fresh Fried Seafood

Restaurant which you went to on our last Run in June last

year.

Turn left up the hill and after about 100 m, past the bus-stop and TNB

sub-station, you will see 126 Kopitiam. Turn left and Jia

Wei in the middle of the block on the left-hand side.

Direction – Bukit Hatamas, Cheras Hartamas

If traveling from KL, take Jalan Loke Yew – Jalan Cheras towards
Cheras/Kajang. If from PJ, take Federal Highway and go straight
towards the direction of Kajang. (In both routes, Sami Vellu no
longer collects toll)

Just before Phoenix Plaza, Cheras (at opposite right side of road)
keep to the right lane. Set Trip Meter to zero here. Watch out for
sign for Taman Segar/Cheras Hartamas. At 0.3 km from Phoenix
Plaza turn sharp left into the direction of Cheras Hartamas. At 0.9
km take a right-turn.

Follow all the way along this main road. Pass the entrance of
Taman Bukit Segar 1, by following the right-turning main road.
Continue to wind down into a valley till at 4.0 km you reach Taman
Bukit Segar 2. Again pass its entrance by following the right-turning
main road.

At 4.3 km, turn left at junction here (You can see an Orange-Beige
‘Continental’ car service/tyre shop at your left front). On turning left, go
straight down (pass under the Bukit Hatamas arch) and at T-junction
turn right, pass security boom, to run site at 4.7 km

This AGM Run will be hared by Calvin Chong and David Liew. The AGM will take place in the Banquet Hall at 7.30pm. Make your way to Rawang, and onto the North bound KL/Ipoh trunk road. Pass Serendah and at traffic lights at Batang Kali township, turn right for Genting Highland and head for Ulu Rening. Proceed for 1.9km and slip left at new traffic lights with Shell station on right. At 3.4km slip left again, and 7.2km turn right at TNB sub station and at 7.4km cross bridge. At 8.3km turn right to “Air Panas Ulu Tamu” and park behind Hot Springs 

Alternative road. Use the B23 dam road to Ulu Yam Bahru. In Ulu Yam Bahru village turn right towards Batang Kali on B113. After 2km turn right towards Genting Highlands on B66. Drive 2km and veer left towards Genting Valley onto B114. Follow this road for about 3km and turn right towards Ulu Tamu. Turn right at and find parking after  as indicated above or look for RLC Hash sign.
